“Osaka Cuts EP” is the result of a collaboration between Klawo, Japanese rapper peko, and local heroes – Miły ATZ and Odme. In partnership with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Coastline Northern Cuts released a special 7" vinyl to mark the band’s live debut in Japan. The three tracks – a funk-driven instrumental, a joint tune with Miły ATZ and Odme, and “8500km” recorded with peko from the Umeda Cypher collective – were created between rehearsals, tours, and file exchanges between Poland and Japan. Osaka turned out to be more than just the place for the shows – it became the backdrop to the whole story. It’s where peko shaped his flow in Umeda’s cyphers, while for Klawo it was the first chance to connect with the local scene and audience. For CNC, it marked the beginning of bringing its catalogue and releases to record stores in Tokyo and Osaka.
